Your SLP will report preliminary findings about your child's performance on previous evaluations/assessments and make a recommendation on whether to pursue ongoing treatment based on those findings. At this point, proposed goals and a plan of action will be discussed with the family, including scheduling and the signing of various necessary forms.
Set up an appointment through our "Contact Us" form and provide the therapist with a clear overview of why you are seeking speech services. After you submit your initial form,we will reach out to you shortly upon receiving your initial form to collect any previous evaluations and/or therapies your child has been a part of in the past and confirm your screening time.
After completing a screener, your therapist will discuss with you if further review of skills is necessary. If further review is recommended, the therapist may refer for more testing to gain a clearer, more comprehensive view of your little learner's strengths and areas to work on. This may include a formal evaluation, oral-motor assessment, a play-based observation and a review of previously submitted paperwork by prior therapist if applicable.
